This article investigates the effect of mindfulness on young adult emotional regulation. In this study, young adult participants reported their current emotional experiences six times per day during a one-week period on a Palm Pilot device. The researchers found self-reported mindfulness is related to effective emotional regulation. Mindfulness ratings were negatively related to various individual emotional liabilities.
